Hillside House in Lyme Regis is a modern and completely renovated house with separate cabin sleeping 2-8 guests in the beautiful town of Lyme Regis on the Jurassic Dorset coast. Parking for 3 cars at the house.
Overview
This captivating home sits in the centre of Lyme Regis and is just minutes away from the small lanes and streets with lovely boutique shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and just a five minute walk to the seafront with sandy beach, promenade and the beautiful Lyme Regis landscaped garden.
Hillside House is situated towards the bottom of Hill Road in Lyme Regis so no big hills to walk up and down in this buzzing seaside town. The house is entered via seven steps to the side of the property straight from the drive where there is ample parking for three cars. The house is situated on two levels with the living areas on the ground floor and upstairs sleeping areas with family bathroom and three bedrooms on the first floor. There is also a separate cabin in the garden which is self contained for 2 of the 8 guests.
Living
There are numerous “living” areas at Hillside – the main living room which leads to the open kitchen as well as a snug just off the hallway as you enter the property. Both rooms have smart TVs and comfortable settees. There is also a separate cabin leading from the patio where 2 guests can be completely self contained with living area with kitchenette and ensuite bedroom.
Kitchen
The sociable, well equipped and spacious kitchen is open plan with the living room at one end and conservatory (used as dining room) at the other. It has modern appliances and cupboards to both sides, a gas hob with electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer and is very well equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and glassware for all occasions. Walk through to the large conservatory which has a folding table that can easily be turned into a dining room for 4,6 or 8 or turned into an additional sitting area with further comfortable chairs.
Sleeping
Upstairs, there are three good-sized bedrooms including the spacious master bedroom with ensuite shower room, smart TV and a comfortable king size bed. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. Each room has good storage space and the main bedroom is dual aspect with sea views. In all bedrooms there is white, cotton bed linen and stylish local wall art. All have good storage space with wardrobes and chest of drawers. The fourth bedroom is the ensuite bedroom with double bed in the cabin.
Bathing
There are lots of bathrooms in this house! Four to be precise! The family bathroom is upstairs with bath and shower, wash basin and WC. The main bedroom has ensuite shower room with walk in large shower, wash basin and WC as does the cabin. You’ll even find a downstairs shower room with WC too!
Parking
Parking for up to 3 cars on the driveway. To have parking at a holiday property in the middle of Lyme Regis so near to the seafront and amenities is very rare!
Outside
Through the conservatory and out to the outside, is the terrace with outside furniture and also access to the cabin which is just perfect for two to be able to escape for some space and quiet time during their stay.
Pets
Sorry, Hillside House does not accept pets.
What’s Included
Changeover days are Fridays, but we can be flexible in winter. The price includes heating, electricity, bed linen and towels and a welcome tea tray all ready for you on arrival. High chair, cot and stairgate are available – please ask at the time booking. Free Wi-Fi access throughout the house.
Car charging facilities available at Woodmead Car Park, just 40 meters away (no charging of cars at property, please)
Why is it Special?
Hillside House is a very modern, flexible house and will appeal to families or groups where some may want to have time away from others (ie in the cabin or the snug). Hillside House is situated almost at the bottom of Hill Road so there is easy access (not steep) to the many Lyme Regis cafes, restaurants and shops as well as the beach. With parking for 3 cars at the house too, you can relax with the knowledge that you don’t have the hassle of trying to find car parking spaces each day!
Please Note
The cabin is only available when booked for 8 guests. If booking for 6 guests then only the house that sleeps 6 is made available. The Cabin is never let without the house. Obviously, if you want to book to include the cabin and only 6 of you, then you can! Just choose the ‘house with cabin’ option when booking.
