Overview

This lovingly refurbished bungalow enjoys lovely rural views and is situated near to the family farm in the village of Hooke. There are plenty of walks straight from the doorstep or you can visit nearby Beaminster for boutique shops, cafes and restaurants.

The property is very spacious and modern and provides ample space for all guests to sit or cook. This sociable kitchen is definitely the hub of the house and has good access and visibility to the nearby lounge as well as there being space for everyone whilst cooking is underway.

Living

Both the living room and kitchen are both “living” areas at Orchard End. Both rooms have large smart TVs and seating for all. In the summer, the french doors seamlessly open up and extend the living space out to the patio where garden furniture is arranged on the patio. There is also a grass area and views of the village and farmland.

Kitchen

The sociable, well equipped and spacious kitchen has open plan access to the living room near to the cooking area with island and at the other end, is the dining area, with wooden table and chairs. It has modern appliances and cupboards on two sides, an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and microwave and is very well equipped with crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and glassware for all occasions. Accessible from the kitchen is a door leading to the laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and ample cupboard space for coats and footwear. Also accessible from the kitchen is the ensuite double bedroom.

Sleeping

There are three bedrooms at Orchard End. The first, as already stated, is accessed from the kitchen. The other two are accessed from the hallway which runs from the main entrance through the property. There is a double bedroom with double bed and single bed and another twin bedroom. All within easy access of the family bathroom with bath (side panel still to be added in photo!).

Bathing

There are two bathrooms at this single storey home. The family bathroom has bath, wash basin and WC. The double bedroom (off the kitchen) has ensuite large shower, wash basin and WC.

Parking

There is ample parking for up to 3 cars on the driveway.

Outside

There is a gravel driveway and access to the property is via a gate. There are grassy areas as well as patio which is accessible from the kitchen French doors. Garden furniture is arranged on the patio. Good views across farmland and the village.

Pets

One well behaved dog is welcome at Orchard End.

What’s Included

Changeover days are Saturdays, but we can be flexible in winter. The price includes heating, electricity, bed linen and towels and a welcome tea tray all ready for you on arrival. High chair, cot and stairgate are available – please ask at the time booking. Free Wi-Fi access throughout the house.

Why is it Special?

Orchard End has undergone a big refurbishment and now provides a very modern, flexible house and will appeal to families or groups where all can be together or have time away from others. Being a bungalow, there are no stairs to climb so is accessible for all generations of guests.
